Colorado Gold was inspired by countless hours of the artist’s childhood spent chasing Brook trout on the Little Manistee River in Northern Michigan. Capturing the fall feel and colors of the brookies was the goal of this piece. The dimension factor was far more intense than any he has ever painted. Creating depth and dimension from the light to the focal point was a very unique balance of detail and impression.
