Shipping Policy

At The Sporting Shoppe, we believe in providing a seamless shopping experience, and that includes transparent and affordable shipping options. Our straightforward shipping policy ensures that you can enjoy your purchases without any hidden costs.

Order Processing

The Sporting Shoppe processes and ships orders in the order they are received.

Our standard processing time is up to seventy-two (72) business hours from the time an order is placed. Business hours are Monday through Friday and do not include weekends or holidays.

Please note that processing times are estimates and may vary based on seasonal demand, holidays, inventory volume, weather events, staffing levels, or other operational circumstances. Updated processing timelines will be communicated on our website when necessary.

Firearm Orders and FFL Transfers

All firearm shipments require transfer through a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder.

For firearm purchases, the seventy-two (72) business hour processing period begins only after:

  • The receiving FFL has provided all required documentation.
  • The documentation has been reviewed and approved by The Sporting Shoppe.
  • All order information has been verified.

Because The Sporting Shoppe must coordinate directly with the receiving FFL, delays in receiving documentation may increase overall processing and delivery timelines.

Orders are processed in the order all required documentation is received and approved.

Expedited Processing

Customers may purchase Expedited Processing for an additional $100.

Expedited Processing moves the order to the front of our processing queue and provides same-day shipment whenever possible.

For firearm orders, same-day shipment eligibility begins only after all required FFL documentation has been received and approved.

Expedited Processing fees accelerate processing time only and do not include upgraded carrier transit services.

Expedited Processing fees are non-refundable once processing has begun.

Shipping Methods

The Sporting Shoppe ships exclusively through FedEx. No exceptions will be made.

Soft Goods and Accessories

Items measuring less than 12″ x 12″ x 12″ are generally shipped via FedEx Express.

Items valued at over $200 shipped via FedEx Express will require Direct Signature Confirmation upon delivery.

Larger non-firearm products are generally shipped via custom packaging through FedEx Ground.

Firearms

Handguns are shipped via FedEx 2-Day service with Adult Signature Required to the receiving FFL.

Rifles and shotguns are generally shipped via FedEx Ground with Direct Signature Required to the receiving FFL.

Shipping Service Upgrades

Customers may upgrade carrier transit services for an additional charge.

Available upgrades include:

  • Ground to FedEx Express Saver: +$100
  • Express Saver to FedEx 2-Day: +$100
  • FedEx 2-Day to Overnight: +$100

Multiple upgrade levels may be combined.

Example:

  • Standard Ground shipment upgraded to Overnight service: $200 carrier upgrade fee.
  • Standard Ground shipment upgraded to Overnight service with Expedited Processing: $300 total surcharge.

Shipping service upgrades affect carrier transit time only and do not guarantee delivery dates.

Saturday Delivery

Where available, Saturday Delivery may be added for an additional $50.

Availability is determined solely by FedEx service coverage and destination eligibility.

Shipping Schedule

The Sporting Shoppe ships Monday through Friday only.

FedEx Express pickups occur daily at approximately 3:00 PM Eastern Time.

FedEx Ground pickups occur daily at approximately 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Orders placed late Thursday, Friday, weekends, or holidays may not ship until the following business week.

Delivery Estimates

Any delivery dates provided by The Sporting Shoppe or FedEx are estimates only.

Once a package has been tendered to FedEx and accepted into the carrier network, delivery performance is solely the responsibility of the carrier.

The Sporting Shoppe is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather
  • Carrier operational disruptions
  • Transportation issues
  • Mechanical failures
  • Natural disasters
  • Government actions
  • High-volume shipping periods
  • Any circumstance outside our control

Shipping charges, processing fees, expedited processing fees, and shipping upgrade fees will not be refunded due to carrier delays.

Returned Shipments and Address Errors

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping and FFL information.

Orders returned due to:

  • Incorrect addresses
  • Refused delivery
  • Failure of receiving FFL acceptance
  • Undeliverable addresses

may be subject to additional shipping charges before reshipment.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

Any shipment that arrives damaged must be reported to The Sporting Shoppe within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.

Customers should retain all packaging materials to assist with carrier claims investigations.

Lost shipment claims will be handled in accordance with FedEx claim procedures and timelines.

Compliance with Federal, State, and Local Laws

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all purchased products are legal to possess in their jurisdiction.

The Sporting Shoppe reserves the right to cancel any order that violates federal, state, or local law or cannot be legally shipped to the destination provided.

Any fees incurred as a result of customer non-compliance may be deducted from applicable refunds.
