Unlike a gas-operated system, the Inertia Plus Bolt System expels almost all of the propellant gases out the bore. This keeps your action cleaner even after thousands of rounds. At the end of the day the Masai Mara is easy to disassemble for cleaning. The push button Removable Trigger System lets you quickly remove the trigger group for a complete cleaning. High quality Bohler steel is used for the chrome lined barrels with optimized forcing cones for exceptional shot patterns. A complete wrap in Realtree Timber camo will make the Masai Mara almost invisible in the field. Oversized controls provide for easy operation while wearing gloves. The adjustable Fit Plate and Shim Set will let you get a custom fit which increases comfort and accuracy while shooting. With a weight of 7 lbs-4 oz combined with the Heavy Duty Buffer Spring the Masai Mara will let you shoot magnum loads all day without getting beat up. In the field or a blind the Masai Mara does it all. If you do not intend to primarily shoot the minimum recommended load of 3.25 Dram, 1-1/8 oz, or heavier, or 3″ and 3.5″ magnum loads the Retay models with a 3″ chamber are better suited to cycling light loads.
