The Sporting Shoppe at The Preserve is proud to Partner with Bob Cardente of Armed and Ready to bring you The Preserve Academy offering a wide array of firearm safety classes for all skill levels. Participants can gain knowledge from experts through instruction in a beautifully appointed, state-of-the-art classroom. In addition, participants will hone their skills through tactical training in The Range at The Preserve – the state’s largest and America’s longest underground automated range – 150 yards indoors – all making for a one-of-a-kind and impactful learning experience.
This is no less true for the large number of female shooters we see patron The Sporting Shoppe and signing up for Preserve Academy classes. A CNN poll stated that in 2012, 80 percent of gun retailers reported an increase in female customers, and according to Statistic Brain, the number of gun owners who are female increased from 13 percent in 2005 to 31 percent in 2014. Women enjoy all class offerings at The Preserve Academy in addition to specialized courses like Ladies Pistol, and Ladies Night at The Range.
All participants may choose from a wide array of classes including; 30 State Concealed Carry, NRA Range Safety Officer, Rhode Island Pistol Permit Prep, NRA Basic Rifle, Defensive Handgun, Tactical Carbine, One Handed Shooter, NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home, Ready Set DRAW, and more.
At The Sporting Shoppe we believe knowledge is the best defense. These classes are designed to arm participants with both the knowledge and practical skills to be prepared, confident, and ready for a variety of situations. Many who take classes report that even if you never have to use a gun for self-defense, knowing you’re trained and can protect yourself gives you a confidence and valuable peace of mind that positively impacts your and your family’s life. In addition to developing skills to equip you for self-defensive, participants gain valuable training for professional occupations like Range Safety Officer, and complete pre-requisites to meet gun licensing and permitting requirements.
