Carcano

The Carcano is a family of Italian bolt-action rifles designed by Salvatore Carcano and used by the Italian military during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The most notable variant is the Model 91/38 Carcano, which gained notoriety due to its connection to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. The Carcano rifles were known for their reliability and effectiveness, and the Model 91/38 was an upgraded version chambered in 6.5x52mm with a side-folding bayonet. Despite its historical significance in military conflicts, the Carcano’s reputation was overshadowed by the JFK assassination, leading to misconceptions about its role in history.
