The Daiwa Kage LT is a light and tough advance spinning reel designed to be used for a variety of freshwater and light saltwater applications. The Kage LT is specifically designed to be lighter by weight, yet stronger and more rigid than before. To achieve this, the Kage’s body is constructed from Zaion, a high density carbon strain material that is 20 percent stronger and 50 percent lighter than traditional nylon and aluminum. The true carbon body is reduced in size and weight, yet provides a rigid framework for the powerful gearing. The design incorporates Daiwa’s “Air Bail” and “Air Rotor” systems that reduce the weight by 15 percent yet provide strength and rigidity. The Aluminum DigiGears are precision cut for a smooth, powerful performance with less overall weight, making this reel great for long days on the water. The Kage’s smooth and powerful ATD Drag System will stop even the largest gamefish. To round out the offering, the reel’s unique premium cork handle knob looks smart yet provides a solid grip.
