The 4″ Big Hammer swimbait is the ideal size for trying swimbaits on nearly all bodies of water. It was designed to fit on a heavier jig head than most of the other Big Hammer designs. This makes the 4″ Big Hammer swimbait ideal for fishing deep, in strong currents, pitching through holes, crawling down steep ledges, swimming over the top of deep structure, fishing the slide, and trolling. The short, stocky body has less drag than other designs allowing the bait to fall to the bottom quicker when rigged on a heavy jig head. And when trolling it is more forgiving than other designs and will not have the tendency to roll at higher speeds if not rigged perfectly straight.
