Containing almost 15% vanadium, its unique alloy composition creates an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this translates to breathtaking cutting performance and edge retention. Spyderco’s limited-edition family of CPM 15V knives is further enhanced by a specialized heat-treating protocol developed by acclaimed custom knifemaker Shawn Houston.
