This elite Sprint Run expression of the Manix 2 Lightweight proudly features a blade crafted from CPM 15V, an extraordinary material that offers the highest wear resistance of any cold-work tool steel available today. Containing almost 15% vanadium, its unique alloy composition creates an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this translates to breathtaking cutting performance and edge retention. Spyderco’s limited-edition CPM 15V knives are further enhanced by a specialized heat-treating protocol developed by acclaimed custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. This Sprint Run expression of the Manix 2 Lightweight faithfully includes all the signature elements of this design, including a high-strength Ball Bearing Lock mechanism and a reversible tip-up wire pocket clip. To clearly distinguish it as a member of our CPM 15V family, its FRCP (fiberglass-reinforced co-polymer) handle is injection molded in a distinctive brown color and Shawn Houston’s “Triple B” logo is laser engraved on the reverse side of the full-flat-ground blade.
